Week 6 Final Dr Callagari Room.

The drawings below are of the my final design for Dr Calagari which was not chosen as Sean was chosen instead to be the design which the group will finalise.

This design had the same philosophy as my previous design the only changes were the hall was were more chaotic and straight angles with stairs going up and down but instead all meet back into the main spiral room to create more confusion. The spiral room now is in the form of a circle which when entered rotates this will make the user not sure which door will go where as it is forever changing. One door leads up to the Doctors room which would be of the same design in my previous room. The room however will have a balcony which overlooks the spiral room. The spiral room will have a perforated steel top with a bright light in it this will allow the Doctor to be able to view the people in the spiral chamber so he feels in control and has the power over ever one just like Cesar.
Through the Easter break three interpretive models must be constructed as well as finishing the section and site analysis of the wharfs also needs to be completed.

Week 5. Review of Dr Calgari's Room

This week was the final review of Dr Calgar's room. from this design we had to combine our ideas from all the people in the group to create a final room which will have an opening of some sort.

The drawings below are sketches of Dr Calgari's room in Progress

Below is the finished product of Dr Callgari's room.

This Design was to reflect the personality of both Dr Calagri's. The entry into the space is a spiral room with each spiral end coming to an opening which leads into a labyrinth of cave like hallways that interlink into the main room of dr calagari. This was to represent the craziness of the Doctor as well as his creepiness in the hallways. The centre room is divided by a see through wall so when people enter the spiral room they are able to see where they need to go but the journey to this space is not what it seems. The main chamber is at angles
to make the back of the room look bigger then it really is. This is to make the Doc feel bigger and mightier compared to the person entering the room. There are also stairs leading up to his desk this is also to create an illusion that he is higher and mightier then the person coming into his room.

Overall my idea for the final room was combined with other peoples in the groups idea to create a final design.
The groups aim for next week was each to draw a new floor plan and section and bring them in next week to pick one that everyone likes.

Week 4. Site visit and Dr Callagri Review.

This week the whole theme group participated in a site visit to the wharfs. We formed groups of 3 -4 people for the future assignment ahead.

My group consists of

Sean
Shez
Matt.

From the site visit we had to measure up the end wharf building so that it was possible to draw a detailed section in the future. The measurements taken are demonstrated in the section above.
My Dr Calgari room was still under development for this week as I was confused to weather we were to use the crazy Calgari or the sane Calgari. Other students work was awesome especially the hand sketched ones and the paintings.

Week 3. Folly Review and Intro to Theme Group

Week 3 Presentation

These are my panels submited for my folly design which reflects the relationship of water ripples and soundwaves, nature vs industry.

Theme Group Intro.

My theme Group was not my prefered option as I forgot to post my preferences. I would say that I am going to be challenging myself greatly with the tasks ahead. I am more a construction based person I work at a firm and studied all maths and sceinces class. This theme group is hugely abstract to me and is going to really test my ability. I hope that I will be able to keep up
